I can relate to your decision to find peace and quiet in the early hours of the day. This past summer I did something similar, which wasn’t especially easy for me since I tend to be more of a night owl than an early riser. But I was taking a writing-meditation class and I found that completing the writing prompts and taking time to engage in this online, at-your-own pace class was only going to be possible if I carved out time early in the morning. I grew to love this ritual, and like you mentioned, it brought a lot of comfort. It set the tone for my day. I love that you keep your notebook right by your side—I need to do this more! I am finding I am putting notes and ideas for my writing into my phone, but I like writing things down. Thank you for this idea and nudge! :)
And I do love what you shared about saying yes more and giving to others. I’ve been thinking more about how I can get involved and give back in my community…I want to do this in a thoughtful and intentional way, though, so I am thinking this through.
I like your introspections! Thank you for sharing, and also for reading. I am glad you are here!
